My wife still gives me grief about not getting the chop when I could have had it done for $10 when we were in California. She had the chop herself here in Adelaide courtesy of the Government. Thank you Thank you. I am such a wimp.

That said, my brother was out of action for two months when the local GP in Scotland botched the operation. I was more than a little put off by that.

Tiff: True. The MOTH totally has PMD, which wants me to give him ASOTH. (A smack over the head)

Tex: You're right about the not understanding each other thing. But that's because us women are right, and you blokes are wrong ;)

Kelley: See? You have one too. The MOTH snores and actually stops breathing for a few seconds. That's scary.

I have no idea. Last year I found a letter from MPS's doctor. It was a referral to a a specialist about his snoring. the doctor was apparently CONCERNED ENOUGH to write the thing... needless to say MPS binned it.

I dunno really.

Probably just think it'll go away if we ignore it.

Most stuff our bodies are so good at dealing with, whereas some people seem obsessed with taking a pill for every little thing which is wrong with 'em, but as you say, with a family history it would seem sensible to get it checked.

Maybe just general procrastination. I know I have trouble doing lots of stuff I should do, and sometimes I have a hard time identifying the difference between important stuff, like health and not so important stuff, like mowing the lawn.

Oh well, maybe women will never understand how we tick and vice versa?

I think it's a bit the opposite for me, I tend to be a bit of a sook, although needles don't worry me ...except for giving blood when they use a huge needle, nearly passed out, haven't been back since. Does that make me a wuss? Yep, sure does! :)

When I was applying for my visa to live and work in Australia, I had to have a blood test as part of the application. I went to have it done with no arguments whatsoever. Needles don't really worry me. However, my body doesn't seem to enjoy losing blood and I almost passed out. A quick lie down and a drink of water later, and I was OK again. A bit annoying really, but it wouldn't stop me having another test if I needed to.
